Try Keith's plugin ( see the tab for Layouts )

The code would look like this:

$('#textLayout').countdown({until: liftoffTime, 
    layout: '{sn} {sl}, {mn} {ml}, {hn} {hl}, and {dn} {dl}'});

$('#textLayout').countdown({until: liftoffTime,
    layout: '{sn} {sl}, {mn} {ml}, {hn} {hl}, and {dn} {dl}'});

You just need to format it for what you want.

Exactly this is what I'm trying to archive with this, yes. 

So the clock would look like this:

One month two months three months four months five months -> 12 months
One day two days three days -> 31 days
One minute two minutes three minutes -> 60 minutes

This is a clock that would be 12 months or less from now.

Something like this?
