XHTML and jQuery Mobile

Hi All,

I am trying to integrate jQuery Mobile with JSF2 and it become clear, that jQuery Mobile does not work with XHTML pages.

It is just enough to change extension from HTML to XHTML and all UI disappears.

Debug Console in Safari shows:
"no_modification_allowed_err: dom" in jquery-1.4.4.js on Line 5117

Please advise.

Hi,

I see jQuery forum has several reports on same issue, without providing clear guidance for resolution. It seems jQuery Mobile tries to manipulate DOM structure in the way it is not accepted by the parser.

Error is reproduced on mobile Safari, while Firefox have no issue and renders UI correctly.

Appreciate meaningful answers.
