Resize DIV on Link Click
Well here's the thing I have a div named "content", and another div class named "resizeme" (for a link). When I click the resizeme link rollover. I want the div to toggle from it's original dimensions of 300x200. However all I got so far is you click the link it goes fullscreen, and from there I can't remember how to make it toggle so when I click the link again it'll go back to it's original size. How to prevent input type=text content selection when using tab key and set the caret to the end of the field?
Hi! I've tried to prevent the selection of the content inside a <input type="text" /> and set the caret to the end of the field to insert more data. That is to avoid people from deleting the field content when updating. How do I achieve it? I've tried jCaret, jquery.caret and to trigger the "End" key (which only worked in Firefox) but it must be crossbrowser. Thank you

UI theme downloads - not extractable / damaged
Hi, I have tried downloading from http://jqueryui.com/download/?themeParams=%3Fctl%3Dthemeroller a Theme (wanted UI darkness) but the download when attempting to extract with winrar or 7-zip just comes up with errors. Help installing jquery plugin
Hi there, I just downloaded a new Magento template for which they have used a jquery plugin. I downloaded the zip file this evening, but I'm not sure where to insert the files in cpanel. I am newer than a newb, so I need some step by step instructions, as my website looks whacked. jqueryUI position() breaks events!
Hi, I don't know if its me but i'm having some problem with the position() utility from jqueryui. Sometimes, when a element is positionated with jquery ui, the events on it don't work any more! How to Display An Image Based on Field Validation Results?
Good Afternoon, I have a lengthy form that users must complete. Inside the form, I want to place an image of a check mark if the field has been filled in, and an image of a red X if it's not. syntax for an if statement inside an ajax data: option
My ajax data option in an Autocomplete works. The whole code section works. Then when I put an if statement into the data: option, I get a Firebug error saying - missing: after property id - and the page fails. I have tried a lot of changes in syntax - with no success. The code section is below. The intent is that when the statement is false, the last line should not execute. Document ready sets country so that the test is true, but I doubt the script executes that far. The jQuery seems to fail
QUnit and jQuery Mobile
Hello, I've played around a bit with QUnit Testing and jqm-1.0a4pre The jqm css is preventing QUnit to display the result. .ui-mobile-rendering > * { visibility: hidden; } is the problematic instruction. I helped myself by putting <style type="text/css"> .ui-mobile-rendering > * { visibility: visible !important; } </style>Into my test page. Just writing to help, if anybody got the same problem! Is anybody testing a jqm application ?
Cycle Plugin and drop down Menu
I am using the cycle plugin on the frontpage of my client's site: http://www.rayjs.argentcor.com/ (using Platform Pro theme). The plugin works great, but I needed to add a drop down menu to the navigation bar. I can see the drop down menu (Banquet Rooms --> Banquet Menu) on all the pages without a cycle plugin. I know that the z-index is an issue with slideshows and drop down menus, but I cannot find where I need to raise the z-index. I've tried several parts of the nav bar and nothing changed.

Stuck in "ui-mobile-rendering" - page not displayed
Hi All, From time to time, I'll deploy my app and when I fire it up all I get is a blank screen. The body seems to have the "ui-mobile-rendering" class applied to it, which sets it's visibility to "hidden" and it never recovers. This issue *may* be specific to Firefox, as I don't recall seeing it in Chrome. But, I use Firefox for most of my development due to Firebug. Please let me know if others have seen this, or if I can provide more info to help get to the bottom of it. Tom

Datepicker problem with IE
Hello, When ever I have a text field close to the right or bottom IE cuts off the calendar portion that extends beyond the defined screen. IE doesnt seem to be able to take into account the screen size and adjust accordingly. It just goes. This is causing complaints among customers. Does anyone have a work around for this issue. JQuery Cycle Plugin & Z-Index Issues In IE & Firefox
Howdy - I've been building out a page for a client that is designed to rotate belts and buckles on a pair of jeans using three layers z-indexed on top of one another. The belt is the bottom layer, then jeans, then the buckle on top. Both the belt and buckle layers are implemented using the jquery cycle plugin while the jeans are just a static image. As I've built the page, it runs fine in Chrome but has some major issues in firefox and internet explorer, either pushing the belt layer down over
user images not loading?
Several user images aren't loading for me. the page just sits here spinning till it gets timeout trying to load them. I have tried it from several different external godaddy servers and get the same result, so i dont think it is a network problem on my end. Any ideas? -- Kevin
how not to run plugins in ie
Hi, How do you stop certain plugins from running in certain versions of ie? I'm using plugins that work great in modern browsers but are really slow in ie. Which will make for a bad user experience. So I'm thinking of just stripping my website down for ie users because if they are themselves not dynamic enough to update to a decent browser then they don't deserve dynamic website experiences! I use ie conditional statements for stylesheets but unsure how to implemement this to not run scripts. I looked

Why HIERARCHY_REQUEST_ERROR when adding div to div on IE

I'm trying to use .get() and .append() to dynamically load a <div> from a relative URL, but when I do so on IE, I get a HIERARCHY_REQUEST_ERROR (3). It works fine on Firefox 4. JQuery with html generated by PHP
Hi I am rather new to JQuery and would like to use it with php. I ran into problems when my html is not static, I generate php forms on the fly using my php script and JQuery just doesn't seem to validate those forms. When put the same form in static html file JQuery works like a charm. What could be wrong? Does JQuery need a page to be static? Loading Jquery using window.document.write()
Hi everyone I have this button on a page that uses "window.open" and then "document.write" to open a new browser window and then write HTML to the newly opened window. The issue is that the written HTML has <script src> tag that loads Jquery. Around the bottom of the document is the <script> $(function(){....})</script> code. But the page gives an error at the call saying that "$" is undefined. Obviously, the JQuery library was not loaded. Any help? Abhay

Form Elements in Lists
I noticed that the docs and demos page now shows that you can put form elements in lists. Is this new? If so, do I need to update my js and css files to get it working?
Alpha 4.1 not working well with Firefox 3.x.
When using the desktop version of Firefox (versions below 4, i.e., 3.6) the following regex (from Alpha 4.1) is causing Firefox to stop working: pageElemRegex = new RegExp(".*(<[^>]+\\bdata-" + $.mobile.ns + "role=[\"']?page[\"']?[^>]*>).*"), This only occurs on 'heavy' pages, i.e., pages that have a lot of elements to load, and script to work with. UI Datepicker: Keep open until close button is clicked
Hi UIers - especially Marc, is there a way to keep the Datepicker open unless the close button gets clicked, e.g. I need it to not close if I click somewhere else on the page... Datepicker firing on a click event not defined within the datepicker configuration
I have an issue where the calendar is being fired when another field is clicked, although the selector in the datepicker config is different. I have a click handler assigned to the "Place Order Now" radio button that clears the text field of any previously chosen date and disables input of a date but it is also firing the datepicker. I've also tried to think of different ways to clear/disable entry to the text field that would alleviate the need for a click event on the "place Order Now" radio button,

How to set a DIV fullscreen?
Hello, Can you set a <div id="box"></div> fullscreen after click() with jQuery? With fullscreen I mean that the browser fits just in the screen of the client AND the box with image as background just fits in the browser. Or even better (but probably not possible) the same effect like when you click F11 ... Sometimes I see advertising (more like popups) of poker where the popup exactly fits the screen, so I guess my goal will also be possible. Who can help me with this or give me some directions?
.toggle slide; from right?
I am using toggle slide for div elements on my page. What are the options for this? The documentation just says that they are "optional" but there are no examples. I would like to be able to slide an element in from the right. If this is not done with toggle slide, how else can I do it? Thanks!
Unable to apply styles in ajax
