sortable on selected items
Hi folks, I'm searching for a way to make jquery UI .sortable work with user selected items. The User will get a table and can select diffrent rows which can be dragged to a new position. In my case, there is a table with rowspan over 3 rows and the user should bea able to drag those three rows by one handle, is this possible? --
Jquery UI Tabs not initializing in IE
I'm using the tabs and it works perfectly fine in Opera, FireFox, Chrome, and Safari, but completely breaks in Internet Explorer. I'm using the latest version of Jquery UI and Jquery. There is nothing semantically wrong with the HTML document. The only script I have running is: <script type="application/javascript" language="javascript"> $(document).ready(function(){ $('#tabs').tabs().addClass('ui-tabs-vertical ui-helper-clearfix'); }); </script> The addClass is for vertical tabs.
Accordion troubles in IE
I'm using the Accordion widget for an FAQ section on a site and I've got it running great in Firefox, but when I test it in IE 6 it is very jumpy and the boxes don't open up tall enough to read the content. I'm not sure if I set it up incorrectly or if IE is being IE again. Any advice? --
JQuery UI Ajax Tab Issues

Accordion issues in client's browser IE8
Hi i have done this test site: http://www.thinkbig.co.nz/aglink/prod8harrow.html I have set the accordion so that all the panels are closed upon opening the page. It works fine when i view it in IE8 using my PC, but my client is saying when he opens the page that all of the panels are open. Originally i did the accordion with default settings (automatically open on the first item) and it worked for them fine. Could it be to do with security settings in IE8? any thoughts? --
Scroll Drag?!
Hi! I'm working on this site: http://bit.ly/297LCa (basically just a huge jpeg) and would like to add a "drag navigation" just like the one you can find in google maps. This means that you have to drag to be able to scroll/navigate on the site. How do I do this with jQuery? I'm new to jQuery so I don't know how to do this. Modal dialog form is not working with asp.net in Firefox, Chrome
I am trying to add modal dialog form to asp.net page and I get an error where the dialog box appears and disappears without user input. It seems the disappereance is almost instantaneous and the form does not stay up on the screen for more than 1 second. This only happens when I use Firefox and Chrome, but works fine with IE 8. I am using the example provided <http://jqueryui.com/demos/dialog/ #modal-form>, and I get the same type of error. To reproduce the error, just add <form> tag after tag <body>
Problem with qTip
I am using qTip to to get customized tooltip on the span elements that get created dynamically and get appended to the div element using innerHTML. qTip seems to work fine for me with the span elements hardcoded, but when the same are being creating through javascript then the qTip fails to render custom tooltip. Instead what I get is the ordinary tool tip with the title text. The span elements that I am generating have title with the intended title text, which is supposed to come up in the tooltip.
Datepicker after cloning fails

Using sortable and when I move items certain content from items get deleted.
I have a bunch of list items, in some of the list items I have divs with more content. I noticed that when I drag some items around random content gets removed from items that have content like <li> <h3>title</h3> <div class="description"> <strong>haha</strong> testing </div> </li> everything but the <h3>title</h3> is removed from the li. Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong? --

A few issues/questions regarding UI Tabs
Hello, tabs are working fine on my page but i have a few issues where i couldnt find a solution: 1.) How can i prevent that a new tab with the same content is opened multiple times? 2.) How can i manage that when a newly created tab is closed again, always the first tab is selected instead of the next tab to the left. 3.) How can i prevent that more than ie. 5 tabs are opened? IE Refresh Issue
Hi all, I'm almost positive I've seen this issue before but I'm afraid I can't find it now, so I apologise if it's a repeated question. I have a page which displays a dialog box, which is initially hidden. In IE the dialog box is displayed while the page is loaded, rather than staying hidden as it does in other browsers. How can I prevent IE from displaying the dialog box? Like I say, I'm sure I've seen it before on here but I didn't pay any attention to it, now I'm wishing I had! Cheers in advance,

Trying to place Slider in span tag instead of div
Hi Guys, I'm having some difficulty doing something that I thought would be simple. I have a Jquery UI slider which I'd like to place in <span> tags instead of <div> tags. resizable with margin auto
I am having an issue with the resizable ui. I have a container that I have the margin set to margin:0 auto. When I resize this the cursor is coming off of the resizable part. If I remove the auto it works properly. Does anyone know a fix for this? --

Do JQuery has a libabry focus user key in digit value?
I have the input text field for Double Type. We know that input text is a text, there is no double input text. So we need to convert text to Double at the backend code. By the way, I need to enforce use to try to enter 0-9 and . So my backend code can convert the digit text to Double. [ to avoid exception ] How to do this? Font size adjustable?
In practice is the font-size adjustable when using JQueryUI? I ask this because it seems all widgets are designed with a very small font size in mind. For example, the icons supplied with JQueryUI may not be usable with larger fonts because they will appear disproportionately small. Are there any webpage examples were people use JQueryUI and a larger font-size? Thank you for your help, Kevin --

Strange behavior experienced when using hide effect
I have a page with a DIV at the top that is shown and hidden with the jQueryUI show and hide effects. Underneath it is a TABLE whose vertical position shifts up and down depending on whether the DIV is shown or hidden. In Internet Explorer 7, when the hide animation is just about done, the TABLE suddenly shifts to a vertical position even lower than when the DIV is shown but only for a split second after which it returns to the spot where it should be. Broken toggleClass(...) method?
Hi, Earlier I reported in http://groups.google.com/group/jquery-en/browse_thread/thread/f3636d8fc64dd7e9 for a "broken" toggleClass(...) method. Later, I realized it is a bug which was fixed 3months ago, http://dev.jqueryui.com/ticket/4676 As it stands today, it doesn't work either. I have verified it at http://jqueryui.com/demos/toggleClass/ using FF 3.5.3 (Mac SL) and IE7. I clicked the button before the animation finishes and the DIV didn't animate again. Thanks /lim/

Datepicker Dialog Method Floating Input Box
Hi, I am trying to implement the datepicker with the dialog method. Dialog Issue
I'm new to using JQuery and JQuery UI. I've implemented a dialog form that allows for a time block selection once a date is clicked on a php calendar that i created. The issue I'm having is if I click on a date and then click on the cancel button in the dialog, then click on another date, the dialog will not open again after the first instance is closed. Make items draggable
Hello, I have many divs on my page. Currently I do loop through them to make them draggable. I also add a custom data field to the draggable item. The "data" is unique for each div. Is it possible to make all of them draggable in one shot, without having me to loop through them? Thanks, --

Testcase: memory leak with ui.datepicker
Hi! On using the jquery datepicker we expierience major memory leaks in our application (especially IE6). After carefully examining our code for leftover event bindings and other DOM/Script links I was not unable to spot the problem so I assumed it origins within the jquery datepicker. I wrote a simple testcase which demonstrates the problem, though the memory growth rate is much higher in our application (probably due to the much complexer AJAX screen). jQuery UI Drag and Drop: Cloned Item Loses Functionality
Hello, I have been working to create a jQuery script that allows for drag and drop table column re-ordering. I have been successful. Basically, when I drag one column onto another it clones the dragged column and inserts it after the dropped column. However, once this happens, the cloned column loses the draggable functionality. accordian to collapsable panel
So let's say I create an accordian on a page. The customer says great, but I want to be able to open more than one panel at once. It seems like there should be an easy way to just switch the class on the parent object, and the rest of the items show up as collapsable panels... without changing any of the rest of the styling. I've seen one plugin for a collapsable div's, but it didn't use the same syntax as accordians, so i'd have to reformat everything. Thoughts? --
Issue with Drag n Drop table re-ordering.
