(solved) IE6 slidetoggle bug. Solutions?
I'm having a problem with nested slide toggles in IE6. When the element slides out, part or all of the text will turn invisible. I can make it visible by highlighting the text. It works fine for all other version of IE and other browser (of course) Unfortunately my clients are going to have a lot of IE6 computers. Change width
I know this is a noob question but I'm having trouble changing the width of the tabs window. I'm using RTML (Yahoo Stores) to place the window, but I believe that I change the default width in the CSS file?? I've attached a screen shot so you can see for your self. Multiple Checked Checkbox Events
I have several checkboxes in a search results list that I want to call a function when they are clicked. The problem I am having now is that when I click one, it is running the function for each one that has been checked instead of just the current one checked. So it works fine the first checked checkbox but say I have 2 checked. Word wrap a textarea at x number of characters
Hello, I am currently seeking help on how to best approach finding a solution to this. Essentially I have a textarea which a user is supposed to be typing a text based email message(no HTML) The textarea has a column width of 80 However there is a recommended width of 53 characters per line. Obviously the user can just keep on typing away past the 53 character recommended width if they want, but I want to add either a form button or a link with an onClick that analyzes the contents of the textarea.
How do I open a new window for this element?

Using a light box with tablesorter

White space with Show function
I'm having a problem with the Show function in Internet Explorer 6 and 8. I have a div tag that is set to display:none. I am using JQuery to add html to this content to create rounded corners and to toggle between the show/hide states. This all works except in IE in the hidden state it is putting extra white space where the hidden content is. It is okay in Firefox. Can anybody tell me why? CSS difference in browsers
Hi, I came across a problem while checking the css attribute for the background-color. Apparently it differs from browser to browser what the content is of this style. var bckColor = $(this).css("background-color"); bckColor will be in IE #d19494 and in Firefox it is rgb(209, 148, 148). I have a div on my page which overflows (beyond a max height of 500px). I have previously set overflow:hidden, but I now have overflow:scroll to confirm that there is indeed a vertical scrollbar. How to detect a new browser tab
Hello everyone, I have a problem that I don't know how to solve. In a nutshell I need to know when the user opened a new tab. I looked around and I can't find an answer to it. How to create select boxes dynamically from text box input
I have a form where a user enters a number in a text box (txtTickets). When that number is entered, I need to create an equal number of select boxes. I've found code examples which show how to dynamically add or delete options from a select box, but I have found no examples which deal with this specific scenario. The select options do not depend on user input -- that is, I do not need to populate it dynamically. I need to create them dynamically. Has anyone created something similar to this?
Event handler in a loop

How to manage/import my jQuery templates
I would like to know how I am supposed to manage my jQuery templates. I have my templates externalized in jqTemplates.tmpl How do I get jqTemplates.tmpl loaded into my html file? How do I get jqTemplates.tmpl loaded into my javascript file? What's the best way to do these two things? I just don't know. I have done this using <!-- include file="jqTemplates.tmpl" --> but I need to find a better way. Thanks.
.height() and IE8
I'm checking height using $('#id').height(); on 2 objects of different height. Firefox, IE7 and Safari returns me correct results; IE8 returns me the same height and that is a lot different from the results coming from other browsers. (like "460 300" on all other browser "700 700" on IE8)

Hello, I am trying to get the gallery on http://www.hotel-mutterhaus.de/-78 scrolling when clicking the previos/next buttons. *Something* must be blocking it but despite twisting my head for well over an hour now I don't get it. Fascinating is that while jQuery(".gllr>.cntnr").scrollLeft(200); works perfectly, a jQuery(".gllr>.cntnr").animate({scrollLeft: "+=200"}); does not work at all. Using jQuery 1.4.2 Any suggestions?

Extending Ad Gallery plugin (help needed)
I am in need of a basic product display that is controlled by two separate thumbnail lists (photos and videos). This isn't too difficult to accomplish by itself, but I really like the way the Ad Gallery plugin functions and I would like to try and extend it to fit my needs.
