Ajax loading of kml works in webkit/gecko/presto; not in IE
I'm developing yet another kml viewer for google maps, as neither GeoXml or nor GGeoXml provide a feature I really need: good dynamic network link support. The current code I've got works well in every browser except Internet Explorer, which fails when trying to load the kml. Change doesn't fire in IE8 if you remove the element on focus of another element
If I am calling .remove() on the currently focused element when another element is focused on, a change event is never triggered by the live code in IE. The problem is Focusout is called after the element is already removed, preventing live from calling testChange to trigger the change. To fix this, jQuery should use the beforedeactivate event like: beforedeactivate: testChange,This might be difficult to make a test case that you don't have to do manually, but I will try.

Couple of Resizable Bugs on Right Aligned Div's
Hi I've noticed a couple of problems making things resizable that that are fixed right aligned. The example code is below. The first example makes the div's shoot to the left as soon as the resizing begins, but works in Firefox. The second example is when resizing items from alsoresize, they fixed right items' width goes in from the left rather than the right, this problem is Firefox only. beforeSubmit in forms plugin doesn't cancel returning false
My title pretty much sums up the problem. On the forms plugin by malsup, returning false for the beforeSubmit function doesn't cancel the submit at all. Thanks.

I'm testing Opera 10.52 and it seems max-width/height css properties have "-1px" as their initial values. Seems to be by design. Perhaps jQuery should implement a workaround?
fadeIn() not working for click(), mousedown(), mouseup() events in IE7
I am trying to execute a piece of code that causes a div to fadeIn when the click() event is called for another object. I know the fadeIn function is working because if I attach this to a dblclick() or mouseover() event it works as it should, but when the exact same code is tied to click(), mousedown() or mouseup() it does not work. The div fades in completely and then disappears. This is in IE7 on Vista x64. What am I missing? //does not work in IE7 $("#L04").click(function(e){$("#I04").fadeIn(500);});
Accordion height issue when embedded within tabs
Hello All, I have noticed an issue with the accordion height when it is inside of a tab. It seems the accordion content does not display. This only happens on the non-selected tab at init time (default is zero). Also, it only seems to happen when the tabs are initialized prior to the accordion. jQuery change event placed on file input inconsistent between Firefox & IE

UI Accordion Doesn't Redraw Properly in IE

Corruption in jquery-ui-i18n.js
I believe there's something wrong in jquery-ui-i18n.js (current version). On lines 410-429, the Swiss French localization is garbled. It should be very similar to the French localization which is immediately below (only the date format is different) The individual file, jquery.ui.datepicker-fr-CH.js, seems correct.
Accordion within a Dialog and Showing/Hiding Accordion Panels
I am unable to get an accordion to function properly within a dialog. Below is the closest I can get it to working. It renders well in IE but in Firefox, the accordion scrolls unnecessarily. Furthermore, my desire is to hide and show panels based on the link clicked, but the accordian does not respond well to that. Is that even possible? live() method for 'change' event broken in Jquery 1.4.2 for IE (worked in 1.4.1)
Hi! After updating the core to 1.4.2 today I noticed that the .live('change') stopped firing in Internet Explorer. This was not the case in Jquery 1.4.1, as it was fixed in that version according to this: http://groups.google.com/group/jquery-dev/browse_thread/thread/e74de6015020d160 . I can not see any errors thrown that would stop JS from executing as the rest of the application is working, but as I said, change does not fire. I thought this would be a good thing to take a look at before 1.4.2

Jquery 1.4 with ui 1.8 give wrong value
Hello, I don't think this is in the dev bug list or if I'm doing something wrong but here is the problem : When you move the cursor quickly to far right or far left it seems to show the wrong value ... Dialog position only correct after first call?
I use the 1.8(rc3) UI plugin in combination with jQ 1.4.2 and i have a page with 3 different modal dialogs. To fullfill the requested redesign of the modal i need a dropshadow underneath the dialog box, which i solve by creating and positioning a box within the .ui-widget-overlay with the shadow image included. My dialogs are set autoOpen: false and when I click my calling anchor, the first time the dialog appears, it places the shadow on the right position but not the dialog. I have to close the

jQuery :first and tbody does not play well
I've created a bug report already for this, but apparently I wasn't getting through to him. The problem: According to W3C specs, a <tfoot> tag must come BEFORE any <tbody> tags in a table. However, when rendered on screen, the contents of the <tfoot> tag are placed AFTER the <tbody> tags. Using tables with Accordion widget

I tried to use delegate, but it is bounded with events. I don't really want to execute a function on a standard event. But I would need to change the elements that match a selector, when they appear in dom. Sortable's dragged item jumps if the subject is contained by relative positioned element
jQuery: 1.4.2 jQueryUI: 1.8 I don't know if it's due to the relative positioning itself or the fact that i'm sorting <thead> in my example but that combination makes the dragged item to jump down in any IE, opera10.10, Chrome 4.1. Button gets disabled on refresh
Hey I've made a simple widget for a project I'm working on, but I have encountered an odd problem. It is easiest to explain it with an example implementation. http://decko.dk/buttontest On the page there are 3 button. The first one is my drop down widget. The next one is a regular disabled button (A) and the last one a regular enabled button (B). If you then refresh the page (F5 or whatever) the enabled button is mysteriously now disabled. Superfish behaviour in mozilla when you press BACK button (history -1)

The page gets loaded from cache, but with menu item selected, and submenu dropped down. I tried to add on dom ready events to clear that, before and/or after the menu is loaded, also with page loaded, but nothing seem to happen. it just gets rendered open. Thanx anyone for the help. [validate] Validation submit.form() not passing name/value pair for input type=image
A normal form submit will pass a name/value pair to the server when clicking on an input type=submit or input type=image button. however, when I use the jquery validation plugin with form.submit() to submit the form, it only passes values if the type=submit, not if type=image. To duplicate: Take the demo/milk/index.html form and make two changes to it. Replace the existing submitHandler code with the code below which passes "form" to the function and calls form.submit() so we can see the name/value
