When we switched from jQuery 1.4.1 to the new version, one of our forms started throwing an exception on all versions of IE.  The error details are below. The form in question has an 'onsubmit' handler that causes a two-phase submit.  You can see what it does by going to http://www.glassdoor.com/Salaries/index.htm and typing 'fargo' in the 'location' field in the top green search bar.  This causes a location disambiguation to occur, and if there are multiple choices, a popup appears.  Clicking on

I'm working on a client's site and I decided to use a slider ... http://assault.toceffect.com it can be seen there as I develop it. When I followed the tutorial here on jQuery.com that value was originally set to 99999px ... you can imagine that before I changed that value, the table forced the page out to

I've set up a simple example at http://tsr.no-ip.org/jqkml.html, although this is stripped back to the bare minimum to highlight the problem. The problem lies in the mimetype handling. If the mimetype for the kml file is over-ridden

  • Change doesn't fire in IE8 if you remove the element on focus of another element

If I am calling .remove() on the currently focused element when another element is focused on, a change event is never triggered by the live code in IE. The problem is Focusout is called after the element is already removed, preventing live from calling testChange to trigger the change. To fix this, jQuery should use the beforedeactivate event like: beforedeactivate: testChange,This might be difficult to make a test case that you don't have to do manually, but I will try.

I am trying to execute a piece of code that causes a div to fadeIn when the click() event is called for another object. I know the fadeIn function is working because if I attach this to a dblclick() or mouseover() event it works as it should, but when the exact same code is tied to click(), mousedown() or mouseup() it does not work.
