Is there an expanding div effect like this in jquery?
What I would like to do is have like six different colored squares on a page with a lot of white space around them, and some white space in between them. I'd like to be able to click on a square and it open up/transition to a full screen, or near full screen layout with content in it. Here is an example, but this example isn't working in IE8 here at work. It worked in IE8 at home. I want to have jquery ui theme to all my input type text. for this I run ( "input[type=submit], :button, :reset, :text, :password" ).button(); on document ready. It works good in chrome but in IE 8 , it behaves strange. the text field changes its width based on the chars in textfiled ie is the width changes based on the text size . I have a input type text with size 20 , and if user enters more than 20 chars then then the width of text element also increases , please advice

How to make multiple sets of ui tabs work with jquery 1.6.4?
I made a website using a nice template when jquery 1.6.4 was new. Now I've added two sets of ui tabs using the code below that I found on jquerys site. It works like a charm on all pc's and on all Apple products. My problem though is that the jquery 1.9 version makes my site crash on android tablet and smartphones = it completely ends the whole internet session. Since my site worked before I added the 1.9 version, I'd like to adjust the code below to "communicate" with jquery 1.6.4 instead, but I

Hi There After searching the web for hours, I finally made the decision to post my question. I'm using the jQuery draggable function to let the user drag and drop a <li> from a <DIV> to the another <DIV>. In the <li> is a select list, connected to PHP with ajax. Forms not working with updated jQuery
I'm working with a client who uses a sort of clunky CMS system. The jQuery the CMS uses is a very old version, and I had to update it to a newer version to get certain plugins working. Good day All, My question is drawn-up from the demo example on the jquery UI website: Display grid ; when sorting horizontally,the items tend to swap places but when one gets to sort vertically,it tends to displace the item it tends to sort.How can i create the swapping effect for vertical sorting just as it is for horizontal sorting. Datatables constant height
I have 21 records in my datatables and page size equals to 10. When I turn to last page, entire table shrinks vertically and paging controls go up, since there is only one record on the page. Multi-Column Autocomplete Issues
I am developing a multi-column autocomplete. I have three categories of items in my list which used to be just one column. Now the UL contains three LI, one for each column and then I add in the items with a monkey patch using the _renderItem, determining which type is which item and adding it to the appropriate UL within the LI. The data appears correctly as expected and the open event works, but the hover and select do not. I'm not all that concerned about the hover, I can accomplish this easily
When reusing a dialog, how do you go about clearing the contents before it is called again?

Simple jquery code working sometimes when refreshing page
Guys I am really going totally crazy. I load a list with data coming from my database. I have decided to let the user change the year to he can see a detailed list regarding that year. As soon as I've thrown this new function my page started working random. One refresh it's working and the other not. I've understood that it was because the variable year (anno in Italian) was undefined so I've prepared a little code to define it if undefined. fancybox.js / reveal.js conflict on iPad

How to hide the x and y scrollbars in my folding out pictures?
On this homepage website, I have three big pictures, which fold out on a hover... so basically a big part of the image is hidden and at a mouse hover it get's visible.... Thing is...
