[validate] Validating an AJAX loaded form
So there is a decent number of this same question on this forum, but either without solutions or with solutions that I'm just not sure if its that great... I would love if someone could help me out with this and hopefully we can get this thread to be a good reference point for all those others. I have a small, two input form that is being loaded when the user clicks on a link. This form is loaded via ajax. live email validation hangs browser (firefox 3.5 & ie 7)
Hi, I've put validation in login page that contains Email ID & Password fields. First I Don't enter Email-ID, click on "continue" button then Eroor message is displayed. Now press 'i' in the e-mail field for approx 10 seconds. After that browser will hang up. It might concern with Live Validation of Email field. Any suggestion will be appreciated. Thank you.
dialog + resizable
Hello, It seems that showing a modal dialog, while having resizable elements on the page, doesn't stop me from resizing those elements. This is true in Chrome 4 and Firefox 3.6 under Windows XP. The dialog works fine in Internet Explorer 6, with bgiframe or without it. I'm using JQuery 1.4.1 and JQuery UI 1.7.2. Is this a bug and should I report it ? Thanks, Tibi
Plugin like jquery timepckr for multiple categories
Does anyone know of a plugin like the jquery timepckr that allows for picking across multiple levels? I need to go from category->sub-category like the time picker does for am/pm -> hour -> min. Help positioning pager with cycle plugin?
I am creating a slideshow deal with many options for user choice. One of the choices I want the pager to be <em>over</em> the slider itself, but the positioning with the before and after parameters seems to put it relative to the page and not the slider..? Is there a way I can do this, and does it make sense? :) Here is some of the code I have thus far. jquery.validate for specific email types
Hi all, I'm currently working on a project and have built several forms for my site. I'm also using the jquery.validate plugin but am having trouble with an issue. I want to validate the email field with ONLY .mil extensions. Example: johnsmith@govcomp.mil. Therefore, anything with .com, .net etc. will not validate. Any help would be greatly appreciated. image preview for galleriffic
Hi I would like to have a second image container added (as preview) in the galleriffic plugin, which should be showed on hovering the thumbnails. jquery cycle inserting bg-color behind text in IE only
Hi, I'm using jquery cycle to scroll through testimonials in the bottom left corner of http://www.truscience.com/trutein.html In IE only jquery cycle inserts background-color:#d0d0d0 in the divs the cycle. This problem only happens in IE, not FF or Opera, Chrome, etc. Additionally, I've tried manually inserting background: none; and background-color: transparent !important in the div (#testimonial1, #testimonial2...) but the cycle plugin seems to override these and puts in the #d0d0d0 despite my
ajaxSubmit and cross domain file upload
Hi, I'm trying to create a form on Domain A which show upload all form data to another server on Domain B. I got the ajaxSubmit to work doing this with a json callback in the parameter string. The problem I have is now when I add a <input name="myFIle" type="file"/> then the ajaxSubmit gets cross domain problems. am I missing something? peter
Cannot select multiple files in "File Upload" dialog
Hi, I am evaluating a jquery plugin that allows users to upload multiple files (http://www.fyneworks.com/jquery/multiple-file-upload/#tab-Support). When I click on the "Browse" button on a demo, I get "File Upload" a dialog. However, I cannot select more than one files. I know it's not a big deal to most people, but I have a need to upload multiple files. So, this is like a show stopper for me. This happens on both my Windows XP SP3 and fedora 11 boxes. tooltip display problem
Hi supporters, I have a strange behaviour with the jquery tooltip plugin from bassistance. If I put the element on which the tooltip should appear outside the body tag, the tooltip appears and everything works fine. But if i place it inside the body tag on the spot it really should be, nothing happens, no tooltip is shown. Where do I have to start "debugging"? Any ideas? Thanks, Marc

Dialog in 1.8 IE8 WInXP modal dialog causes scroll of main window
Hi I was running an aplication with 1.7.2 containing dialogs, but decided to add the new autocomplete plugin and upgraded to v1.8. Everything is fine in Firefox and Chrome, but I have found that in IE8 on winXP platform the dialog scolls the page upwards off the screen and then opens the dialog box also above the top of the screen. I am aware of the beforeClose change, have I missed something else that needs changing with the dialog? Thanks
cluetip plugin problem - duplicate close buttons showing
Safari 4.0.5 and FF 3.6.3 have this problem IE and Chrome are ok The first time when i click the link, two instances of close button shows. If during the same load, i click on another item, the previous clue tip hides and new one shows with only one close button. Validation - How to manually invalidate a field?
Hi. Is it possible to manually tell the validator to treat a particular field as invalid (even if it's valid)? In my app, I validate form fields with the plugin, and then send the server a request. The server might report back that one of the parameters was invalid (perhaps an email address is already in use). Upon re-showing the form, I'd like to highlight fields the server has reported are bad...but--continuing the email example--the data in that field is valid according to the plugin, and so it

I have a weird issue. Jquery.Multi File is overriding my form validation
Hello I am using the following plugin to attach multiple files to one input field for uploading. When testing, if I have no files loaded into the queue the validation works normally. Once I upload a file to the queue the validation script is overwritten and the form could be submitted without any of the other required fields this uploader is part of. SOLVED: Superfish displaying menus by default?
Trying to get Superfish to expand its menus by default and ignore hovers on the main page of a site I'm building and coming up empty(headed). Tried manually setting opacity, display types, visibility, etc but to no effect. CSS aside I guess, is there script I can call on the page to show all items? Thanks in advance, Z EDIT: Nevermind, fixed. Just set the script to call a different class than the css uses and added a position reset to a conditional css file.
jQuery cycle plugin: Only One Element possible?
Hello, I tried to use the jQuery cycle plugin and it works well with at least two elements (images in my case). But it stops working with one element. Yes, usually it is not necessary to use a cycle for one element, but I use it inside typo3 and it would be nice to have a unique solution for image cycles - even if they only contain one image at the moment (of creating the page) and leave the possibility for more images later. Is there any option i missed or did it realy need some developing inside

hi guys, i am playing with the hoverscroll plugin, this is the plugin page hoverscroll The plugin has api for true and false for arrows, however because i am populating the <li>'s with content dynamically from a database. I need to turn arrows to false if the content height is less than the container height as they both become visible if the content is not as tall as the container i was kinda thinking of several ways to achieve this but my jquery knowledge is rather limited i managed to get the arrows

Cycle plugin: problem with pause/resume
Hi, The pause/resume functions for the cycle plugin isn't working correctly for me, and I haven't found any postings with a similar problem. ISSUE: Both the pause and resume buttons take the slideshow immediately (with no fade transition) to the first slide and cause the slideshow to stop working. Validation Plugin and problem with html select in latest firefox
I have jquery validation plugin version 1.7, jquery version 1.4.2. When I connect validation to html select element i have strange effect in latest firefox browser, because of select doesn't expand when i click it. I didn't observe that situtation in older firefox borwsers and all ie browsers. Maybe there is a mismatch, problem which events handling in jquery... [Superfish] Place sub indicators independently

I'd like to know how and if it is possible, to place the sub indicator arrows specifically for each level of the navigation. For example, my top level navigation bar has a height of 40px, and all the sublevel pages are displayed with a height of 30px. Hover-issues with tabs
Hey! First of all, I am quite new to jQuery and Javascript, so please help me understand how to fix this issue. jquery cycle pager problems
I'm using the cycle plugin to create a feature rotator but have a couple of issues preventing me from getting it to work as I need. I am using the pagerAnchorBuilder as I have my own pagers but mousing over the last pager isn't changing the slide and mousing over the second pager changes to the third slide. I also need to add a class to the parent div of the active pager link to indicate it is the active slide. But I'm not sure how to go about it. Conditional Validation with Ages
Is this possible with jQuery? If so, how would it look? I have a simple form where I collect some basic user information. (name, birthday, e-mail). If the user fills in the form and they are between the ages of 13-17, I need another 2 text fields to be required (for a parent's signature & email). If they are over 18, the field isn't required. It would be really amazing if those parent fields wouldn't be displayed unless their age was under 18. I have no clue how to do it. Really appreciate
