Use of Datepicker leads duplicate form submission
Hi, I am using jquery Datepicker (from 1.6rc2 package) and have noticed that a form that uses a field to which the Datepicker is attached is submitted twice. Only in Firefox, though. Works fine in IE 7 and Google Chrome. Removing the jquery stuff eliminates the problem and putting it back restores the problem, so cause is definitely in jquery related stuff. choppy show/hide effects
I am experimenting with the jquery ui effects and i am noticing something that is very troubling. It appears that the effects are all bounded by the size of the fully shown image. This is problematic, since it causes choppiness in the showing and hiding of elements in a web page. In other words, when the element is being shown, there is choppiness: the full height of the box appears first, then the effect happens, and when it is being hidden, there is more choppiness. forarding to a URL of a tab
hi folks i understand that if i link to "tblApplicantsView.asp?ApplicantID=1#ui- tabs-27" (for example) - i should be able to load the contacts of tab number 13 automatically, right? but i get inconsistent results - sometimes it works, other times it doesn't. when it does, what i usually see is the defualt content loading, then disappearing, but nothing comes up instead. what i amk trying to do, is redirect to the tab content from another page OR - link to the tab content from a text link on the

dialog centering not same in Firefox and IE
This is one case where it appears to be better in IE. Everything looks centered. In Firefox, after dynamic content is loaded to a dialog and the dialog is opened, the height isn't recentered on the page and the content within the dialog isn't quite centered (appears slightly shifted to the right). Strange drag offset problem in IE
Hi Can anyone make any suggestions regarding the following problem which only happens in IE and not in FF, Chrome etc. Synopsis: I have a page that has a header (+- 120px in height) followed by 2 main divs (content and right bar). sortable: strange dragging behavior in IE ( demo included )
Hello. I've been having trouble making ui.sortable work in IE (maybe just IE6?) due to a strange dragging behavior. I put together this simple demo to illustrate the problem: http://74.205.76.81/sorttest/ As you can see, the dragged element is out of place while dragging. Oddly enough, it drops into the correct place when released. This is obviously a major usability problem, because it's visually disconcerting to the user. I'm pretty new to jQuery and UI. Can any of you jQuery pros please help?

Modal Property not working in ie
Hi, The property modal in dialog plugin, when set to true is not working in ie7. Same is working fine with firefox3. But if the overlay properties are set, then modal property is working in ie7. Disable selectable?
Hi there! I have a problem with selectable: Once initiated, it fires the stop- callback every time the mouse-button is being released, also after disabling the selectable using $(bla).selectable("disable"). And at least for me not calling that callback would be the expected thing once I disabled selectable. I don't know whether this is a bug or a feature, but I'd like to hear some comments on that and whether there is an alternative - I really want to load the selectable on first use, then after

Tabs: After AJAX operation elsewhere on page, select a specific tab?
I'm having trouble figuring out how to select a specific tab after an AJAX call replaces some content on the page. I've tried inlining the .select in the replaced HTML to no avail. (The same script however works in the webkit console.) I feel like I'm missing something really easy...but a review of the documentation and browsing this list hasn't yielded any solutions. Any suggestions?
innerhtml and append issues
Here's what's happened in order. I began experiencing issues with my jquery code not attatching to HTML that I added to a page using Ajax methods which utilized the evil innerhtml function. Well someone then I formed me that my methods were antiquated and that I should use the more modern append with jquery syntax and that everything should work fine. Highlighting of special days in datepicker
I've been playing with this all morning and nothing so far...can anyone help a newbie? Hopefully I'll be up to speed soon and pulling my own weight here. But in the meanwhile: I'm trying to populate the datepicker in inline mode so that certain days are highlighted. Nested accordion child's header follows its parent
I am trying to nest an accordion inside an accordion. The accordions are working, however the inside accordions take on the selected header of the parent. This is easy to see if you use a theme with a down and right arrow. When the parent accordion is opened, its header becomes selected (down arrow), and both of its children accordion's headers also become selected (down arrow). The child accordion work correctly in that they only shows their contents when clicked. However both of their headers are
Not possible to drag and drop images in IE

During the drop, the following error will come up: this.placeholder is undefined or not an object I noticed that the image gallery demo works around that bug by putting the images into a list. slider with range, but using only one handle? or a way to respond to the init() method of a slider?
Hi, I'm looking for a way to make a slider with range, but with a fake range that always starts from the min value, with only one visible handle. Adding a second handler and hiding it causes some unwanted side-effects (impossible to drag visible handle all the way down to min-value etc). UI Tabs - Activate a tab via text link
Hi all, I have a series of tabs (Features, Benefits and Requirements) which all work fine. I can't figure out how to open one of those tabs from a text link. My simple brain thought that it would be sufficient to just create a link (the current URL) with an anchor at the end - www.link.com/product1.php#benefits and this would be enough to reload the page and activate the 2nd tab (Benefits). Is there a way to activate this functionality? I have read through the threads and I can't seem to find what
Browsing through forms with tabs
Hi I'm using UI Tabs in a script which uses forms to automatically load CSS styles onto a div. It worked pretty well when the form was embedded in the same html and the different sections were shown/hidden with Tabs, but now I would like to have each tab in a different .html file. That way, loading the page wouldn't be so harsh as it's getting now (the form is getting very long) and different people could work in different sections more easily. Hi, My native language is supported with utf-8 encoding . I tried this tutorial : http://www.detacheddesigns.com/blog/blogSpecific.aspx?BlogId=56 It works with english language but when I turn html file text to my native language words , the scripts works correctly but all of words will convert to unknown characters :( note : I`ve saved my sample html file with utf-8 encoding . jQuery UI Sortables 1.6rc2 appendTo not working
It seems the appendTo option for sortable is no longer working. In 1.5 it changed the location where the helper was appended to, now no matter what the helper stays within the parent of the sortables. Does anyone know if this is a bug or if there is a way around this?
Tabs with queueing
Is there a way to do queuing with the tabs component? I was trying out a couple plugins for queueing (Ajax Manager is the one I like right now - http://plugins.jquery.com/project/AjaxManager). However, as you call these queues differently that a standard $.ajax call (this particular has a syntax of myQueue.add(ajaxOptions), I can't see how to make a tab component use this by default instead of it's standard ajax load. Any thoughts? Am I missing something obvious? Thanks, -j
