Hello, I have a requirement where I need to poll the database via ajax from js to check for a status. If the status is "active" then the polling should stop and an alert should popup "case is now active." The js should check the db every 2 seconds until the db status returns "active." Jquery Touchstart & Click Question
Hi all I have two functions below. One detects of the user has "clicked" a menu item and one is if a user "touches" the menu item. The "click" function is working perfectly. The "touch" version doesn't show or hide my html. I can alert() the ID in the touch event so I know im capturing the "touch" but the hiding/showing of content simply does not work. Swiping doesn't work when video is on page

Hi All, In Jquery UI.Sortable, We can give delay to start the sort. I want to know , is there any event that to identify once the delay(i.e.,ms) completed. I tried all events in the API list, start, activate,... all the events triggered when i start to move the item. color animation in the navigation menu
Hi I am trying to add color animation to an existing navigation and I have tried the various suggestions and tutorials and have failed! I would like the color to slowly move across the nav menu bar when mouse over rather than an abrupt color popping up. I tried first doing this in a new document so as not to screw up what I have and is working. Hello, the following jQuery function will get called as soon as the DOM becomes available: $(document).ready(//myfunction) The following syntax is a shortcut: $(//myfunction) However, (//myfunction) is just a standard javascript anonymous function aka IIFE (Immediately Invoked Function Expression).
